Do you recycle empty cartridges?

Absolutely.  We encourage all of our customers to recycle.  When we process empty cartridges through our manufacturing facility, we re-purpose all of the plastic components (mainly the outer plastic casing) that don't have a negative impact on the performance of the cartridge.  All other materials, including spent drums, metal and platics components, are carefully sorted and disposed of at recycling centers.

Do you utilize new smartchips on all of your cartridges?

Yes, we do.  Every cartridges that utilizes smartchips has a new chip on it.

What is the Fail Rate of Your Cartridges?

Over 15 years of manufacturing, and careful observation of our returned cartridges, we have determined that our fail rate is roughly 2%. Factors that account for defective cartridges include component failure, assembly errors, smartchip malfunction, and the like.  Our replacement policy is simple and hassle-free. Our clients find that the savings achieved from using compatibles over the OEM cartridges far outweighs the occassional product return due to warranty issues.

What happens if a cartridge is defective?

First, we want you to contact us to discuss the nature of the problem.  We always encourage our clients to replace a seemingly faulty cartridge with a replacement cartridge, to see if the problem can be isolated to a cartridge. If your cartridge is defective, we will either replace it immediately, or refund the purchase amount.

How many different brands of cartridges do you manufacture?

We currently offer compatible cartridges for the following brands of laser printers and/or fax machines:

HP, Brother, Dell, Lexmark, Canon, and Sharp

I've tried compatibles before and wasn't happy - why should I try again?

In the early days of producing a compatible there was a lack of technical knowledge, and lack of quality supplies and replacement parts.  The PrecisePRINT cartridge is designed and held to the same performance and yield standards as the OEM’s.  We strive to produce a compatible laser cartridge that meets the OEM specification in yield and density.  So with a PrecisePRINT cartridge, you can get the same quality of a new cartridge with great service and a huge cost savings.

What happens if a cartridge doesn’t work properly?

All PrecisePRINT cartridges are warranted against failure.  We have an unconditional product warranty. If for any reason  a cartridge fails, we will replace it immediately.  We also warrant for yield for the first cartridge.

Does using a compatible void my printer warranty?

No.  The FTC has ruled under the Clayton Anti-Trust Act that using a non-OEM product in a printer does not void the warranty.  If your customer is using a PrecisePRINT cartridge and the network card goes bad, then that card or any other mechanical issue is covered under warranty.  If there is any problem with a printer related to our cartridges, we would warrant the problem. An example of that is a saturated transfer roller.  The manufacturer's warranty does not cover that, but our warranty states that we will fix it or pay the repair bill.   In 15 plus years, we have never had a cartridge that caused any significant damage to a machine.
